Did some back ground reading and left myself a little ops:

The black motor did have a EST control module. I was under the impression both (blue and black) were the similar except Holden moved the pickup (speed sensor) to the flywheel instead of on the dizzy shaft as on the blue in attempt to be more reliable as the blue pickup coil tends to break as regularly as Nuns go to church. Never thought it was a half an attempt at engine management :!:
