    Question about Freelanders

    A friend of mine is looking at a 2001 TD4 Freelander with 94000km on the clock.

    What things should he be looking for on this model?
    Series 11A ex Air Force
    1995 ES Discovery TDI

    RIP 2006 Discovery 3
    RIP 2004 V8 Discovery
    RIP 95 Discovery TDI
    RIP 1999 Freelander
    RIP 1978 EX Army FFR

    Scolloping on the tyres, that is a re occurring uneven pattern aroud the tyre - some Freelanders had problems with the drive ratios, which produced his problem.

    From what I hear, the TD4 model is moslt free of problems, just the usual things, rust in windows and check that the electric window on the back door is working.

    Why not give a quick call to British Offroad or similar and see if they have any particular problems they often see with these models ?

    In my experience British Offroad are happy to help with such enquires. Might even be easier to email them from their website.

    You buying one are you ? On a Land Royer buying spree, perhaps ?
