I can recommend ashcroft crown and pinion. I have recently fitted 4:12 ratio to my d2 with arb lockers, HOWEVER .i Have had my rear diff out twice, I was getting bad contact pattern on initial setup. On the second removal the gear set has been lapped and now the terrible noise has gone however the front is yet to be lapped aswell and its contact pattern setup ok. However is terribly noisey in drive and overrun atm. It was only after talking to the machine shop they have done allot of these ashcroft gear sets and is all to common, they have poor machine finish across the face of the teeth
Am very disappointed after spending allot of money to end up with some thing worse but the end product is good. Just a heads up on my experience, it's irritating to pull diffs in and out

Thanks for that!
Things may have changed since Ashcroft posted this on Pirate in 2010? I dunno.

I'm no expert, but the pics don't look like they've been lapped?

I am basically trying to fix this as cheaply as possible
I have been looking at this stock ratio R&P
Ashcroft Transmissions
would do the job?

and a more expensive solution would be the stock ratio GBR
Coil Sprung - Diff Gearing
But i like the idea that it comes with shims, everything i need basically to set it up, the shims seem impossible to find anywhere
