    Diesel fuel filters

Read a few times now that the Lucas/CAV type fuel filters are the go. So, where's the best place to get one (preferably in SE Qld)?

A second-hand one with a built-in priming pump (as mentioned by Farmboy) would be nice, so I can delete the lift pump next time it goes belly-up.

Does anyone know the exact brand name/model no. to ask for or the truck/tractor models which have something suitable?

    Hi Leo109
Most british tractors and earthmoving equipment run the pictured "CAV" style filter setup.Check out an AG wrecker, they will have plenty, usually in a "double" setup,ie the same as the pic but 2 filters side by side.
However they all have seperate lift pumps, next time the lift pump fails, replace it with a petrol "electronic" pump. You should find that you will only need it to run whilst the engine is on "glow" or starting. The Roller I was driving at work had the lift pump replaced with an electric one,I know it works Ok without it as I used to pinch the fuse from the fuel pump for the heater on really cold mornings.Once it is all up an running the system seems to draw enough fuel itself.I STAND TO BE CORRECTED(disclaimer!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The one I mentioned was definately not a Rolls Royce!!!!! But a road roller!!!
But that one blew up 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) It was a real bomb.
Since then we have 2 brand new rollers at work,a vibrating roller and a rubber tyred roller.
I scored the vibe roller. These 2 new rollers may as well be a Rolls Royce Rollers, mate I even have a remote control Pioneer CD player!!!!!!! really good aircon and for a vibe roller its extremely quiet.

    HAVE BEEN GUILTY OF HAVING MY PINK FLOYD "THE WALL" CD PLAYING SO LOUD I CANT HEAR THE GRADER DRIVER ON THE 2WAY 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Got to get around to burning more discs this weekend.
