Back at the original post :? They look quite good and at that price which is a little expensive they would have to have a engineering test certificate and a stamped rating or otherwise you would leave yourself open to liability if they let go wilst under strain the resulting damage to anyone or anything could be extensive and even a MIL-SPEC first-aid kit may be inadiquate

At least the OI ones are Aussie.
The US ones look stronger than the Aussie ones and they are cheaper at US$35 (A$46) each. Add postage and they'd still be cheaper. The US backing plates are US$10 each.

One rarely gets hit for customs duty and tax these days so buying from the USA could be worthwhile.

I did a tour of some customs establishments the other week - at the international mail centre all they seemed interested in was Ebay and the duty incurred there as when goods are mis declared they can get the correct selling price + shipping may put you into the duty price range which was either $50 or $500, cant nember

If we disregard the SLC ( which being an Australian ICON is exempt from all scorn and ridicule )
You have mentioned nothing to change my views,,,, 8O

Hi Harry
No the 1800 and 1100 were UK sourced, but the Marina and the P38 ops: ----Eer P76 were Aussie designed as was the 1800 ute and station wagon.
