    Discovery 2 interior lights

Hi I have a 2004 Discovery 2 and the front overhead cabin light has stopped working off the doors. The middle and rear light still work and the front light works by switching it on manually. This has me a bit perplexed as the door switches are obviously working and the globes are okay yet for some reason the front light only no longer works when I open the doors? The engine and gearbox have been out recently though I'm not sure if that has any bearing on it. Any suggestions?

Also as a separate question has anyone tried changing the cabin lights the LEDs ? or does that mess up the dimming et cetera ?

    YES and NO.
Flat 18W LED arrays. I have taken out the back seat light as it is just SO bright in there with the front and luggage area..

Lights are controlled by the BCU, not directly off the switch; that is the switch provides a signal to the BCU. So it's not getting the right signal. LEDs work fine; figure out if you want warm white (similar to normal bulbs) which still cost more or cold white.
