300tdi engine stumbles when coming to a stop

Needing some guidance as I'm a little lost...I recently changed my starter motor and noticed the hose from the wastegate to the intake was missing...I refitted a hose only to discover my engine is now seriously over fueling. I've turned everything back down and the car drives fine though a lot less get up and go...but when I pull up to stop the engine stumbles only to regain idle...was there something I did wrong or missed all help will be greatly appreciated

I spent all day on this thing...I noticed a gurgling noise in the fuel tank and now the car starts but won't run...I disconnected all the fuel lines blew them backwards with compressed air applied sealer tape to connections for temporary peace of mind bleed the fuel system and fired her up...she started easier but still won't run...it'll rev till about 3k then die...turned the fuel up and no smoke not even black or white...absolutely dumb founded...any ideas before I have to fork out to much money...

Do you mean the hose from the turbo to the diaphragm on top of the injector pump or the hose that runs from the turbo to the waste gate actuator which runs the waste gate? I can't picture which hose you're talking about ...

Further to phibzy's Q and 87 County's suggestion, Sounds more like a lift pump issue now.

I replaced the lift pump and put a new filter...but the old one seems to be working...diesel in the face was a laugh...not...will check it again...

The hose was from the wastegate actuator to the intake
