    WHICH WIRE DO I CUT?

does anyone know how to stop the wipers from working when i press the washers?

the wipers start to wipe before the the washer pump has even had a chance to prime up.......loads of fun when your glass is coverd in dust or mud.

i would like to first wet the glass then turn on the wipers when im ready(that is after most of the crud has run off the glass).

theres gotta be a wire i can cut to stop this.
has anyone done this mod before?

No, dont cut the red wire. Noooooooooooo.

Sorry don't know the answer to your question although i'd be suprised if it is as simple as just cutting a wire.

hey...actually it looks like it might be a light green wire according to the schematic diagram. with either a blue or black or brown trace..damn, ive forgotten the landrover colour codes for wires.

all i gotta do now is find it on the car and try it.................

    yeah....................................

    thats all.................

Sheeet what ever ya do dont let the smoke out......

on a serious not, it might be easier to jerry rigg (best to take it to an auto sparks , there are some in the Recoimmended suppliers)

so that you can have a button that all it does is spray water should be fairley easy, switched positive directly to terminal on wiper motor....

sure it would work, but there are so many wires on there already and ive got a few sets of spotties to fit still im trying to eliminate as much wiring as possible.

itll turn into an auto electricians nightmare soon.

real reason im just sick of hearing the wipers scratching sand across the glass for one or two swipes then the washers start to wet it.

The hose that goes to the head light washer now goes to the wiper arms via very small garden hose sprayers.
and a push butten switch on the dash.
