    Tyres for SII Disco

Cooper STT discoverer will be availible in march and we are looking at this or the Suretrack (ST) what i want to know is what would be the best size for the Disco 245/75/16 or 235/85/16 which are availible in these tyres, i'm looking for more clearance so will the 235/85/16 fit under the guards the heights are 235/85 are 31.5" and the 245/75 are 30.8" of these which would be the better option.

The 245/75's should go under a stocker, though the 235/85's will require a 2" lift and bullbar.

IMHO I think the ST isn't compatible with the ETC on the D2. The D2 4WD system requires wheelspin to work and ST's break up the side lugs under those conditions. The STT's are fine though. Cooper have brought out the ST-C now, and I dont know what these are like..... perhaps they'll be ok.... at your own risk.
    Cheers

I just had a look at the link to Disco2 so we have decided on what we are getting because of the rear wheel carrier, in the Cooper 245/75/16 or if we get it for the right price the BFG AT in 265/70/16

    Thanks Slunnie for your help.

I'm running 245/75 x16 BFG Trac Edge on my Td5 Discovery (standard suspension) and it works fine for me.
On road is a little less stable due to the increades side wall, and acceleration away from the lights is a little slower but no real problem.
Off road it is pretty impressive, it also gives an inch more ground clearance.
When I put my road wheels back on it just doesnt look right. This tyre size will also get your speedo reading true.
