    Tar removal question

    Because I'm Internet limited at present. Quick question: what's the best for removing tar without damaging the paint?
    I'm referring to tar up-to palm size on paint work not the little flexs
    MY15 Discovery 4 SE SDV6

    WD40 is good also, but wash and polish the area after or it attracts every bit of brake dust in the universe.

    Thanks. I've got more internet access for now and will get to a store tomorrow for turps or wd40. I thought they were the go but wasn't sure. I'll also get some polish. Going to be a fun time tomorrow morning... Not!

    Don't clean it all off Derek, it adds a bit of character to the vehicle, especially in the NT.

    Maybe try eucalyptus or citrus oil - they both work as adhesive removers, some of which are oil based.

    I use kerosene. Works well and doesn't damage paint.
