Intelliride or Accuair Experiences and Knowledge

    Hi Guys,

Does anyone use or know of someone that uses, Intelliride or Accuair?

If so, would you reccomended it and what is your experience with it?

Does anyone know the requirements to engineer it?

Please note: I posted up a similar thread a few days back to learn from anyone that has used or is planning to use aftermarket Intelliride or Accuair air bag management systems and any also requirments or experiences with engineering, I closed that thread and asked for it to be deleted as it was hijacked by someone continually posting about how good the stock RRC system is.

The Standard RRC airbag system might be your cup of tea, and there are plenty of threads around to discuss how to fix it, so please go there or start your own thread if you want to discuss it.

This thread is only for aftermarket Airbag management knowledge for any landrover so please keep ontopic where possible.

For me personally I need something more reliable, customizable and feature packed like remote controls, user set auto raise and drop speeds, and individual on the fly bag low speed bag control etc.

    After-market EAS systems.

Personally I would like to see this thread continue (on-topic) as I am intending to fit EAS to my Defender 6X6 and am looking for a system to run it.

The rear bags on each side will be parralleled to operate as a single load sharing axle group.

The systems I have investigated mostly seem to have 3 settings. I would like to have at least 4.
    1. Access height. (Getting in and out and parking in low headroom places)
    2. Highway/Expressway height with a lower than standard height to lower the CoG and reduce body roll/instability at high (for Defender) speeds.
    3. Standard height, rural roads, tracks and places where road humps are plenty.
    4. Off Road
    and possibly a manual over-ride.

No the standard RR/LR EAS systems are not of interest.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I'd also like to see it stay as I want to run bags on the rear of my Defender when the original suspension is due for a change out. Pat

I know you don't want a factory system. But that one does have 4 programmable heights. 5 if you count the "help I'm bellied" mode.
    High profile (offroad)
    Standard profile.
Low profile (onroad above a certain speed).
    Access mode.

Since access mode is essentially on the bump-stops, an aftermarket system with three heights will work the same. Just dump air for access mode and use 3 programmed settings for the rest.

Two rear axles shouldn't be a problem for any system. You could run sensors on all four rear wheels and electrically average the pair on each side. Then if you have one up and one down on the same side the result should be the same and the controller won't know any different to 4 wheels.

From the research i have done thus far:
Accuair Elevel has 4 settings if you have the controller or Iphone/Apple App (all down function is bump stops) but you can put valves in to make bags stop at certain psi

Doesn't auto drop from high to 3 to 2, so proper engineering might be an issue depending on who you talk to, has individual bag control but only with "handbrake signal" wire activated

All heights are easily set in seconds like setting a radio preset.

Not sure if Intelliride has 4 heights but it does auto drop (if you want) from 3 to 2 and auto raise from 1 to 2 at selectable speeds and time spent over or under speed.

I would go intelliride or accuair for 6x6 and just mimic the rear set up again and when the first rear axle height sensors drop or raise it does the same to 2nd rear set.

But intelliride might be the go becuase they are used on trucks and busses with 3 axles im sure and very customizable (windows based)

Getting a little off topic here, has anyone got any real world experience with any of these aftermarket kits?

We need to find out which one is most suitable for retrofits in landies, im torn between the two but im leaning towards intelliride over Accuair

    Happy now?

The other posts have gone to the 6x6 project thread http://www.aulro.com/afvb/showthread...51#post2279251
