cant help you with that..however running the pump dry while testing may kill it.

so will running out of fuel......running pump dry.


its hard to make it out from that pic but it might be a couple of diodes in the insulation.
you sure its the wiring and not the pump?
i think the actual pump(motor) is the same as a holden commodore one but is about $100 cheaper

Look like shielded ceramic resistors like the ones on old cars for the coils.

A Rover 3500 has a resistor in the + line to cut the speed of the pump , and therefore the noise.

there is no resistance through them??

Inductors to reduce spikes from the motor.

Inductors are just coils of wire, often around a core of iron or ferrite (in this case, probably ferrite). The core increases the inductance.

Usually they have quite low DC resistance but they have quite high impedance to spikes. (Capacitors have high impedance to DC but low to AC)

Yeah.... either way would you think they would cause the intermittent cutout of the pump ? :?
