    blackspot

Think I posted on this topic before.
RFI is an issue at times for TD5s and probably other cars as well.
I found a blackspot at Tamworth station due to something or other! Also near Com towers such as the one on Mt Wellington in Hobart.
Usually holding the key under the right mudguard will give enough shielding to blank the RFI and let you open.
I also find as others have that holding the key to your head extends the range of the fob. Go figure!

    keyless entry blackspot

An update on the keyless blackspot problem with my TD5. My local Land Rover dealer was unable to reset the keyless entry and engine immobiliser settings. Ended up taking it to a private Land Rover specialist who reset (and de-sensitised) the alarm and immobiliser. Heading back to the same blackspot (opposite the pharmacy - after-hours) to test it out tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed. Thanks to everyone for your tips and feedback. I've got plenty of alternatives to try if it ever happens again. Just shows what an ingenious mod Land Rover drivers are.
