    I took your advice hellspawn, before i even read your post. i used a 1/2 meter pipe extension.. hehe

    So i have water pump out, not waiting for payday to get new one and put it in, looks like a lazy day sitting in front of tv tomorrow [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img]

    It's a good method until the dreaded one where you snap the bolt off so it's recessed in the hole and have to drop back to precision freehand drilling with careful use ezi outs. Then you don't think it's such a great method, especially when it's somewhere you can't get a drill into easily. Been there more than once. :roll:

    use a bit of hylomar(it is a blue sealant) to seal the new pump and gaskets....this stuff works well and does not dry up hard and become impossible to remove next time the pump has to come off.

    and dont overtighten bolts....they strip and snap and become more fun than the removal process was. (especially when its the last bolt before the job is finished)

    Just wanted to say thank you everyone. I have finished putting in my new water pump and its all good. (for now)
