Hi, i bought some bearings for, my power steering box, and another for one of the belt pullies on the front of the motor.

I paid $40 each for the bearings for the power steering box, need two, i later found out i could have got them for less than half that. I just had no idea that a bearing place would stock bearings to fit a land rover steering box. They are an ordinary everday bearing.

The one for the pulley i paid $20, turns out they cost about $6 from a bearing place.

Thanks DW, even thought it is a bit late for me. Matt

Maybe under downloads we could have a section were members could add items of interchangeability as they become aware of them. Ideal set up would be similar to an excel spread sheet a page for V8 and diesel motors and seperate listings for Defenders, RR and Disco for the rest. Just a though anyway.[/quote]
you just let me know what you want and i will try and setup the infrastructure so you can maintain it...

Need to get a replacement door locking mechanism, you know the one that always brakes on the Disco's... already replaced 3 of them.... now another one has gone, interestingly enough it's the driver's side door, you would think that would be the first to go

Anyhow has anyone brought one cheaply lately, don't mind buying from UK if there cheaper there.

    Matt.

Just use the 'quote' button in the top right hand corner of the message you wish to reply to. Then just delete the bits you don;t want to appear in the new message.

I assume thats what you mean.....
