REALLY????
60,000 for the spin on job and 20,000 for the centrifugal?
Now that changes my servicing costs by quite a bit

Hi Wardy
Sound almost too far between filter changes doesnt it!!!!!
I think I will be changing the lot every 10thou with synthetic oil,if they are available for $100 the set, good insurance. The motor seems to be in good nick for 197000ks,so Im willing to throw money at it keeping the maintence up as best I can to delay the inevitable worn out motor for as long as possible.

Yeah, I don't think I could let it go 60,000 on a filter. Might talk to a few other guru's over the next few weeks. I'll post the results on here.

Great....the guru's here have put another spanner in the works... :?
I was changing one alternating filter with oil at every 10,000 k's. I was happy with this arrangement and it works out a bit cheaper.
Now I discover with this wonderful discussion that the centrifugal filter does all the work and the 'normal' filter picks up the slack.
With my intervals the centrifugal filter was being changed at it's LR recommendations and the normal filter is changed way to early.
Any ideas on how to work a proper filter change sequence thats a little better than LR specs?
Maybe...two rotors then one normal/rotor :!:
