That is just POR15, it's a rust encapsulator (moisture cured urethane) ..... I'm a big fan. It's not easy to touch up if you manage to damage it .... loves rusty metal, hates fresh new metal. It's quite toxic, and always makes me feel crook in the guts when I use it (especially the POR Hardnose with an activator).

It's finish will turn to **** when exposed to UV light (ie: sunlight). the protection is just the same.

Hmmm, wonder what was wrong with the old, simple (and self-explanatory) 1-pack and 2-pack paint monicas?? I mean, what the hell does "k" tell anyone? Jargon for jargon's sake?

The activated coatings chemically set.... They are vastly superior in every way. Ease of aplication, longetivity etc.... They just kill you super quickly

In theory the old laquer and enamel system could be scraped back of and reduced back to paint. The urethanes actually chemically set like two part araldite.

If you have the equipment to use the activated paints (ie: air fed mask and a home made spray booth) ... it is the only way to go. This is what I would do.

eg: this is my last place. This is how I setup a booth in my shed, and used one of the kiddie blow up castle pumps to cycle fresh air through it.

    Xantia clearcoat restoration advice please.
