    Hole in Military lt95 case

    Hi all
    Is this hole which is in my military lt95 an oil level equalising port .
    It looks like it passes through from transfer to the main box .

    That's the hole for the gearbox reverse idler shaft. Interestingly it is sometimes the cause of oil transfer between box and transfer. When the O ring gets old and hard oil can pass in between. Solution is to add a bit of sealer or mild Loctite on assembly.
