I can supply some from work, we have to pay for the disposal of them so any I can make dissapear is always a good thing.

I can cut tops off or to size as needed if you want shorter ones or put holes in the sides so that you can poke a wooden stave through to suspend it without risk of it ever falling in.

    A smelly waste of time.

    I'm surprised.

It is no old wives tale. I've been using it for over 15 years. See http://www.aulro.com/afvb/350934-post6.html

I can probably get you one. Where in Sydney are you?

Alternatively, you can buy plastic olive drums from the trash and treasure markets , e.g., Blacktown drive-in.

If you want 60 litre drums, I've got some here.

As I said - had a mix of about 10:1 and just did not work except stank out my garage - I had the tank in an old esky and it was completely covered over for just over a week - rust which has been wirebrushed first was all there.

Dunno what went wrong with yours, Garry, but it works a treat for me.

I assume you, like me, were using ordinary old black molasses from a feed store, not some refined product.

Here is a battery tray I did a couple of months back:

That rust look is because it is so clean it has started to rust after I hosed it off.

Ron - have you tried using it to remove mill scale from new steel? Does it work on that (phosphoric acid does so it should...)
