    RRC/D1/DEF stud spline.

I'm about to knock out the old studs from my trailer hubs to fit the LR 16mm studs, am i correct that the splined area is 16.5mm so will need to drill out the old stud hole to 16mm ? PCD is already correct but has 14mm studs which match a transit van.

AFAIR that is correct however you may find that the existing spline size is bigger than that ,as I found when I got D1 splines for my ALKO drums, although I think my drums had a bigger size stud than 14MM.
I had to have the drums drilled between the existing holes.Grrrr.

Thanks Philip, i'll knock one of the studs out and check and if they are too big i may as well buy new hubs.

Are the splines on 5/8" studs bigger?? Running different nuts to the tug shouldn't be an issue

    Might be worth a look

    http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Wheel-...-Bit,2659.html

It appears the spline is 17.3mm

I could just use 9/16 studs and matching nuts but i found a better option.

Ok found a better, cheaper and local stud supplier. This size seems to be fairly common on AG equipment.

WHEEL STUDS AND NUTS : TRAILER PARTS AND SPARES - OTHER : TRAILER AND BODY EQUIPMENT : Product Catalogue : A-Line Trading - Component Solutions

    AL03039 @ $2.35/ea , $16 postage so 10 x studs delivered for under $40.
