If the trailer currently has 13" wheels, and you plan to fit 16" wheels, will they fit?

Yes. Fitting new guards is part of the cleanup.

Hmm. Axle spacing.... Hadn't thought of that. Tape measure time.

So, the axles are spaced at 750. There is 200 between the tyres, so I reckon 16s will go on, but not with my BigHorn tyres! But ordinary road tyres will fit.

Interestingly, the stubs are on an offset, rather like a portal, if you get my drift. So, I could probably invert them to raise the clearance ant bring it up the the height of the lifted Discos, depending on the type of hub that will fit the stubs. Time to pull it to bits I guess.

Is that 550mm between centres of the axles? If so, 165x65R13 tyres would have only 5.3mm between them.

Sorry, that's a typo, should read 750. Fixing it now.

Had to get the trailer ready quickly as it's gone to Wodonga where some nice soldiers are going to get a little work experience by doing a little welding.....
So, early Holden pattern 14" Sunraysias and LT tyres. Guess I'll find something else to do with the D1 wheels.
