What I was trying to say was that it is better to have all 5 tyres the same diametre for the exacty same reasons as you so elequently stated 8)

if you want to do a five tyre rotation.....
the fronts go to the back....
the back right goes to front right.....
    spare goes to front left.......
    back left goes to spare.....

if your tyres are NOT directional....
you can swap them left to right before you put them on the back.....

ideally should be done every 10,000 to 20,000kms......
    now having said this.....
i swapped mine front to back only at 40,000kms...... ops:
    that was 26,000kms ago...... 8O

When I did nasho's in '58 (puckabloodypunyal) we got around in those GMC (jimmy) 6x6's. (was in sigs, geez we had some gear, now it would all fit in a shoe box!)
But those jimmies, go anywhere but loved the juice, counted in gals. per mile (not mpg!) Great time had by all!
    Sorry to be off thread!
