Tyre Rotation
I rotated them for the first time after doing the Simpson Desert, they have travelled about 15 000km since fitting. I swapped the fronts with the rears as I don't have a spare BFG AT.
Is this the best or should one swap them diagonally ie front passenger to rear driver and rear passenger to front driver. I didn't do this as I tought it would be best to keep the tryes rotation in the same direction.

and just to muddy the waters further......
I swap the tyres side to side, but with the same rotation of direction. ie. remove and refit to the rims on the opposing side.
It's the only way I've found to maximise the milage on my MT's.

I was always under the impresion that you didnt change rotation direction as the belts had bedded into one direction and reversing this would shorted the life of the casing, but that was a long time ago and may have only applied to older technology designed tyres.
Seemed to make sense to my small brain at the time and sort of stuck in my head since

Without using the spare,
left front to right rear
right rear to right front
right front to left rear
left rear to left front
Trev.

Depends on which hemisphere you're in. Clockwise, north. Counterclockwise, south. Trouble at the equator.
