TD5 Disco Chip

I joined this group a few months back to help me make an informed choice with a Landrover, and have just bought a 99 TD5 auto, fully loaded. Its great to drive, has a better ride than my past 4x4's and fuel economy is better than the V6 Commodore I just traded. My only wish is more get up and go. How efective are these chip upgrades? And who can I trust to do the job in South East QLD? Any suggestions help.

Ricks 4WD in Nerang did mine.
Its a Bruce Davis Chip. 20 min change over.
He is a Land Rover only workshop.

The Bruce Davis chip in my 99 TD5 Defender improved the performance significantly once you get to the point where the turbo cuts in. I had it done by Bruce by posting my ECU to him although he prefers to have it done in a workship so it can be tested after installation.

I have no hesitation in recommending this upgrade.

I've got a bigger intercooler and chip. The intercooler in my opinion gives a bigger power boost than the chip upgrade. Off the line, the Disco absolutely flys, and it keeps pulling hard.
