the stuff looks like contact lookalike stuff to me
But if you after some contact any of the aluminium suppliers
if you go for the 0.5mm stuff you can cut it almost with scissors
Now you've got to like that legitimate technical post and include Angelina Jolie.
I was watching Tombraider the other night and noticed that the door cards/liners on her Landy were made of chequerplate.
Kai had a mate who made chequerplate card for his RR, anyone seen the same for Defender?
I thought about doing it after seeing the prices for replacement cards, but once you have a look at amount of molding involved it seemed like a real bugger.
I obviously wasn't concentrating quite as hard as I should, must have been something distracting me. I didn't notice quite the enthusiasm with which they covered everything with chequerplate. Looking more closely at this pic it doesn't seem like they made much of an effort to stick to the original pattern.
Cheers
Simon

Also, I think that vehicle has series doors, not defender doors.
If you have a look around the internet you will find some pics people have taken of the 3 tombraider vehicles, and there is an atricle on them in the newsletter

It definitely has the two-piece doors (minus the tops) with the old recessed outer door handles - like the SeriesOriginally posted by Phoenix
