tell us first when the problem happened....
were you (or anyone else) under the bonnet before this happened....?
did it happen after filling up with fuel.......?
(it does have fuel doesnt it....?)
did it go through a big puddle....?
is the air cond causing any problems.....?

sounds like the mixtures.....
stepper motor gone south or out of range......
too much air at idle.....
or incorrect fuel pressure.....
does it feel like its choking itself when it dies....too much fuel....
might be a temp sensor....
if the engine thinks its cold it will enrichen the mixture and choke itself....
or it could be leaning out for some reason.....

fuel pressure is fine at around 250 what ever its measured in
not choking itself, it just dies and stops
like turning the car off with key
