Never try to pull the vehicle out in one go as this can overheat the winch and damage it. Used correctly these winches will last a lifetime.

Having watched this guys auctions before it will get to the relms of buying straight from Repco.
He seems to have an uncanny ability 8O to get his bids up in time to save him losing money.
Another point, the 12000 are hard to fit in a Disco chassis. so best to check, I know the similar winch badged OX by TJM wont fit the discovery.
Seriously, consider a 9000/9500, less weight over the nose and for some reason the winch below comes with 27mtrs (88ft) of cable, my M10000 Warn had more than that.
Its better to have slightly less power and more reach IMHO
Its always law, if you have 30mtrs of cable the tree is 34mtrs away
Cheers
Mike
