Ok, I'll have a go. . Someone is sure to fill in the gaps and correct me on some bits.

Pic 1 - 1 and 1/2 engine or gearbox mounts, a gasket of some description and something else.

Pic 2 - Knackered front seal I think.

    Pic 3 - don't know

    Pic 4 - Sump gasket I think.

Pic 5 - Leaf Sping U bolts, gearbox or TC input shaft, fan belt.

Pic 6 - Shackle bushes, front brake shoe, bump stop.

Pic 7 - Half of a rear main seal

Pic 8 - Distributor points backing plate.

Pic 9 - Front swivel shim kit.

    Pics 10, 11, 13, 14 - Gearbox bits.

Pic 12 - driveshaft slip joint boot and clamps.

The "something else" in pic 1 could be the seal that goes under the fuel filler neck where it mounts through the body

Pic 1 the "something else" is, I think, the locating ring for the bottom of a Series steering relay. Difficult to tell scale though.

Pic 3 is Series 3 bonnet hinge inserts

    Pic 4 Rocker cover gasket.

Pic 6 includes spring stop (same all Series). Brake lining could be front or rear swb or handbrake, but hard to tell scale. Switch is a ring-in, but could be used for e.g. S2a post 67 instrument lights.

    Hope this helps,

Was hoping you'd be along John.

No wonder I didn't know what the bonnet hinge inserts were - my series 3 didn't come with any - I was wondering what went in there...

I don't bother with a hose set myself these days, I take a roll of silicone tape - I've used it in a 15 litre Diesel running at full load that split a hose and we got through the weekend without it losing a drop more. That, a tube of radiator leak stopper stuff, a fan belt, a few electrical bits and some basic hand tools - and RACV total care, or your states equivelant and you'll be fine.

Also, if you get stuck almost anywhere in this great land, there an AULRO member not too far away that will offer their assistance and friendship - I've met some amazing people on this forum and call many close friends now.

    all chiming greatly appreciated!

Now i need to work out why i have all these spares!

were they purchased to fix things up, or the old components from already fixed issues!!

does anyone know where i can get replacement leather tabs for my seats? most of mine are cracked, broken or frail!

    thanks again,
    Tim
