Help no lights

Can any one help? I have lost my low beam and high beam. Fuses are ok, and when I pull back on the stick the lights still work? and parkers work fine, it's got me buggered.

Any thoughts anyone?

Cheers Blythe

Hi Blythe

Does that mean that you can flash High Beam?

Yes I can flash high beam, my old girl is a bit of a mish mash from the factory although it is a 94 with 94 running gear it has a 93 dash?? funny thing is it just didn't work one day, it didn't let go while the lights were switched on?

Is there any easy way to check if it is the switch that any of you know of?

I have also checked all the relays and they are all ok

thanks in advance for the help, Darwin is a very expensive place to get professional help, I do almost all work on the old girl myself.

Cheers Blythe

remove the cowling to gain access to the switch.....
then (with the ignition on) turn on the lights and wiggle the wires at the back of the switch.....

see if you can make the lights come on.....
have you upgraded your globes by any chance....?

With the cover off your steering colum try twisting the furthest blue wire to the left. that was the problem with mine. Took me ages to work out exactly what it was. The pin that the wire connects to seems to work loose.
Hope this helps.

Had the same problem a few weeks ago. Replaced the switch (about $70), all good now. 8)
