well i need front and rear diff guards
especially as last time i was out i dragged my rear down the face of a rock when dropping off.....

that was also when i dropped down onto the over hang and bent the other side of my rear step to match the side i bent the time before hence the wanting of a HD rear bar even more than before...

so if anyone getting diff guards in cheap let me know...

so far the cheapest i know of are karcraft at around $90 thats for a diff pan.
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

Check the price of the protector Vs price of a new Diff housing (Landrover allfoil type)then do the math...
Mine is a 8mm alloy plate and had all the scars to prove their worth every penny.

The beefiest ones I've seen are where you cut the whole front section of the diff off and replace it with a pipe end cap as used on large steel oil lines (as used on oil rigs and in refineries !). This is a popular mod on Pirate.

    I'll dig up a picture.
You've just given me an idea, there is a place about 500m from work that do those dished ends up to about 4m diameter, i must drop in and see if they do one that i could modifiy as a bolt on unit.

    Diff guards are worth it

I have just recently fitted a diff guard to the front diff of my defender.

It unfortunately has a very nice dent in it - just wish it was fitted when this happened.

    Landy-Spares have them.

The SAME thing happened to me, so my advice is fit one BEFORE you hit the rock - because you will !!!!
