So true. Love the space, turning is a bugger.

WHen you do... let us know - I am considering the same thing (fitting a s3 tub to my Defender).
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

It looks like the series 3 tub is going to be more mucking around than I first thought. I've now found a Defender tub (for $750 - ouch ) which should drop straight on. Downsides to this are the lack of rope hooks etc which I will have to drill off a series tub and rivet on, and the thinner panels which the defenders use.

Did you get a ute tub ? If not, there won't be a rear bulkhead between the passengers and load areas, surely ?

DId you talk to the fella about the conversion with teh s3 tub ? If so, and to save me hassling him with the same questions, what did you learn ?

Yes, its a ute tub from a 2 door defender. - it has the bulkhead etc.
The alloy panels on the defenders are noticable thinner than the County panels.

I rang the guy a couple of times but wasnt able to catch him. In the end I decided to go with the defender tub now that I have found this one.

Quite a few 2 door Tdi's were imported as hardtops.
