Yes Ron, mine works.
Was in the high country last weekend and it took 20 minutes for it to be noticable because it was -6 outside @ 7am.
Like the aircon, not the most powerful units but still thankful that they are there.
Has anyone had any luck in getting the County heater to put heat into the cabin when it is cold outside?
It's as though the heater doesn't flow enough water or the core is too small to transfer heat.
I get plenty of heat when it is hot, very little when it is cold.

I might try removing the vacuum controlled heater valve to see if that allows more water flow.

You can excuse the Poms for not getting the Aircon right, but it makes you wonder when they can't get the heater to work. I was in Tassie last year and it was freezing. The Extreme heater did the job but only just........... 8O 8O
At least the P38A heating and air con is top notch.
Ahh, it's French (Valeo), not British (Smiths).![]()

big ron
my county without the o was warm as toast
it caught fire twice!!!!
shame it was a 45 degree day
the big exhaust ran so close to the floor it would turn my boot soles to jelly
Ron,
Did you get it to work?
Mine is R/S and probably a valve or something. You mentioned that two valves need to open.?
I've never bothered but we are going on our "big trip" in a couple of months and the family is a bit soft.
I presume redfenders county had an aftermarket exhaust. My aftermarket exhaust had a tiny pinhole from new and had a similar problem, the wife broke out in a sweat, but luckily nothing caught fire.![]()
have you guys tried flushing out the heater matrix to make sure its not full of years of rust and crud....
and possibly mud....?
this may be restricting the coolant flow through it......and hence reducing its efficiency.......
Ron I thought u had sold the county?
or am I imagining again?

What would life be without a Rangie?
I traveld from a top end wet to a Tassie winter and could not get any real warmth out of the heater even after flushing the heater core and renewing the control valve,(stage 1 V8) Locals gave some bumff about radiator being to big ,coolant being used , but I dident stay for another sleet season and the heater worked fine back in WA.
