Will 265x75x16 Fit on a RR Classic?

    Hey Guys,
Will 265x75x16 Fit on a RR Classic with 2 inch spring lift and 1 inch body lift?

After all this debate over tyres the ones I want to replace the ST's with are the Dick Cepek FCII but wouldnt you know it not availble in 235x85x16.

If they rub where is it likely? rear doors corners on the guards?

I tell ya what im over this tyre thing! Oh Hilines mate is a top bloke down at Tyre Power Scoresby.

    tyres

Bogg stock rangies and disco 1 & 2 will take 245/75r16 so you should be ok with 265 on your lifted rangie.

With that lift they will fit but you may need to trim the gaurds a little bit, do you have rims to fit that size tyre? you'll need 7" wide.

I have the Highline three spoke rims which are 7" wide. Ouch about the grinder I was saving that for the flares down the track

You won't have to trim much, i had that size tyre on a 7" rim (more offset) and they rubbed on articultion, but i didn't have a body lift. If you want i have a rim with 265 on it in the shed if you wnat to see if it'll fit.

265's should fit with a spring lift alone. Body lift will give you more security I guess.

i have an '89 Rangie with a 2" spring lift, no body lift and i run 265/75 16.
They only rub the front radius arms. You can ajust the spacers or your driving. You get used to loosing a small amount of lock. It does depend on what tyres you run. I used to have BFG M/t and the rubbed a bit, the Mudstars i now have seem a bit narrower and are better.
With only a 2" spring lift the just top out under full compression, so you should be fine.
    Oh and they look great!!!

265 is the same as 10.5" isnt it? My old Rangie had 31x10.5s on it (still does i guess) and I think it only had about a 2 inch lift.

I have no memory of the tyres ever rubbing on anything but the ground.

They are 15s though, which would make things a bit different...but I hope this helps

It was a very nice rangie back in those days...bring a tear to your eye if you saw it now.

Thanks guys for the info, Ive lined up one to put on a rim and just check it out before I buy (thanks for the kind offer 6.5). Will push the suspension around and just check it out before I decide.
