The best person to ask for would be Paul, tell him Leigh put you on to him. The price I gave was for blast, prime and 2 pack. We also do the Zinc/Aluminium metal spraying as mention above but it is more expensive and does not come up as smooth as paint but has its own unique look. We did the centre point tower/sky walk in sydney with zinc metal spray with a light spray of gold 2 pak over the top, that gave it that sparkling change in the light look.

This might be a good one for the recommended suppliers section. Certainly it's a useful resource. If you get them done, LRH, let us know what you think.

I just had some 16 x 8 made for my county with wicked offset. Got em blasted and hot dipped for less than your blast and paint or the blast and electroplate. Hot dip is real permanent, OK to look at and a lot cheaper than people generally think. It is good value for money I think.

They are going over to RED this Saturday - will update you guys on the end result.

I needed to findsomeone to do this and MANY other sandblast jobs - got a couple of more sets of rims to do and then there's my D100 chassis etc.

No worries, I will make sure they do a good job, if I don't do them myself.

    Cheers SpeedWayRover

I dropped them off into the office this morning to Steven? Interesting chat about zink and the layering of paint thrown in for good measure!!!

I chose "Light Grey" as I thought this was the closest to the original factory colour.

    THX again for your help.

When I get something sandblasted & then powder coated, I always get them zinc soated before.... Always works a treat for me & helps keep the rust at bay.

Have been told that power coating is thiner than most spray jobs - so chip easier and are harder to patch up.

I agree with the sink coating - esp after sandblasting to bare metal.
