Thread: Workshop compressor capacitor

Pretty sure it's the bottom one with the higher Microfarad number, but at around $50 each ( last time I did one ) why not do both? I got it from a motor place in the Gully, but I suppose Dandy would be closer for you.

^^^ What he said. And if the start cap is duff, the run probably isn't far behind.

Very easy to test them for anyone with the right meter , literally a 1 min job .
Could also be the centrifugal switch or the start winding .
Quite often when they go they split & smell bad .

Or catch fire and start spewing smoke into your evap cooler which then fills the house , that was fun - not.
