Depends on what portion of the tensioner is being replaced.
If it is the whole spring and arm, then just undo the centre nut and off it slides.
If it is just the tensioner pulley bearing, after undoing the Left hand thread centre bolt, it slides off. Then use a small screwdriver to remove the spring clips - watch out, as you lever them off they do fly quite a distance. Of course the best bit is that the bearing (6203 generic number) is available at CBC bearings - the one nearest you is Canterbury Rd Bankstown nr the scrapyard, and they cost $8 (roughly). After removing the spring clips, find somthing to support the pulley and drift the old bearing out. Use emery paper to clean up the inside of the pulley and after reinstalling one spring clip, carefully pull the new bearing in - two big washers and a nut/bolt will do the job. Don't damage the side seals, fit the other spring clip and put it back on - job done.
ps: buy 3 of 6203 bearings because the A/C tensioner and idler are all the same size. You never know when one of them will suddenly sieze up.
pps: A tensioner pulley with bearing is available at TR spares $30, or a Holden Vn-VS at Supercheap, same money.
