Since I did the TDI conversion I now have an after market temp - as the dash one was not calibrated the same as the TDI motor plus boost, oil pressure and a volt metre per battery.

Is that a digital type or analog? I want a digital one as opposed to the VDO Analog. They just look cooler

If you have a TD5 Extreme, the space under the radio can just fit two gauges. The other two could go as per my set up. Fuel and clock are not gauges you need to stare at.

Digital Vs Analogue? Go the analogue, you don't have time to interpret, (read), data when things are going badly. A quick glance at a pointer and you know if its in the wrong place.

Mine is a digital guage - standard supply for Thermoguard.

I was looking at it today, but ran out of time to install .

I'm going to make some 2 (or 3) gauge stainless steel (bling ) mounting plates for the panel under the radio
    who wants one?
see my post in "general chat" area, if I can get enough takers I would think they should be under $20ea

How high does the gearbox oil temp gauge go?

Would an engine oil temp gauge be any use to add as well?

When I owned an Auster aeroplane forty years ago I considered adding an oil temperature gauge - mechanic said he had done it before, but owners always asked him to remove them because the readings frightened them.
