DD, check the brake vaccum advance pump i had poor brake pressure on my disco and it turned out to be the plate on the end of the pump coming loose cause its held on with rivets not bolts (good one land rover). Anyway after time the old gets past the diaphram inside and works against the plate which works the rivets loose and oil leaks from it which also reduces vaccum. I have a page on my site which shows with photos how i fixed the problem by removing it drilling the rivets, making a gasket and then using small nuts and bolts to clamp it back on. Works a treat. Check the brake vaccum advance pump, its its leaking this will add to the problem. Matt
