    disco brakes-more trouble

hi all after my last post on my disco's brakes i have changed teh rotors and pads which made no difference in my brakeing ability.
Also following that i had a seal let go in teh drives side caliper piston since then the seals have been replaced and the pistons them self will be replaced this week..

now asides what has already been done i thought to myself maybe its the booster checked the vacume line great suction no sound or feel of air leaking and pumping the pedal with teh truck off then starting it with brake pedeal pushed in it's compressing a further few inches so i have ruled out teh booster.. Which leads me to teh master cylinder i have had this suggested by a few people that this could very well be teh cause of teh problem. What are your thoughts??? as it's the last thing i can think of.

ok now what i need to know is the best place to buy in brisbane or would i be better off and cheaper off buying over the net and if so from who. The truck is a 96 disco with abs (the abs seems to act as it should when tested on gravel hill not 2 fond of that off road) if somebody out there could suggest and other posable causes to very little brakeing i would be happy to hear them as i am at my wits end here.

i hope i have not been to confusing in this post and i do apologise about my lack of gramar (it's not my strong point) but i do hope u can see through that and suply some helping info

    thanks as always

did you clean the protective film off the new rotors before you fitted them....?
this will reduce the braking effect....also...did you give them a chance to bed in....?

and lastly......give the system another quick bleed......just open the nipple on the front callipers and let gravity
bleed the fluid through......there may simply be air in the system.....

protective film did not know about that however all rotors were cleaned down with brake clean so i am asuming that any film would have come off(right?) as for bedding in they have had a good 500kms since going on so they should have beded in by now i would think (only take a couple of hundred kms dosen't it?) and as for bleeding they have been done twice but would not hurt to try that once more i will do the pistons in teh next day or 2 and blled teh system fully again and see if that makes a difference bleeding is rear left rear right front left front right correct?? and by gravity feed u mean just hose from bleed valve into jar then just crack teh valve open and let it drain itself??? thanks for your reply DZook apreciated as always

What rotors and pads did you fit? Genuine?

If your pads are too hard you won't stop nicely.

This may sound silly, but it happens, get someone to depress the brake and have a look at all the hoses, I have seen the rubber expand like a balloon the result is verry poor brakes and eventual burst hose and no brakes,

If you wont better brakes replace all the OE hoses with braided SS the improvment is very noticable
