It couldn't be too different to a D2 which has the LT230 and cable operated drum brake, so have a look at the manual for that.
Regards PhilipA
I have recently returned to the rebuild of my Defender 110 Reynolds Boughton 6x6.
The vehicle now has an Isuzu 4BD1 (soon to be 4BD1T) coupled to Isuzu MSA 5 x 2 gearbox to LT230 28D346***E transfer which has a cable operated drum brake mechanism (parking brake).
None of my parts catalogues or workshop manuals cover the cable mechanism for the drum brake.
I would appreciate someone directing me to where I can access the parts catalogue or workshop manual for this type of drum brake.
Thanks
Diana
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Thanks Philip
Unfortunately while it is the same brake assembly as the D2 and TD5 Defender, none of my manuals (D1/Defender/Perentie/RRc) go later than the mechanical linkage, and I have not been able to find one online any later than the ones I have in hard copy.
If you have a link that would be much appreciated.
P.S. I am missing the circlips and retainer for the park brake cable and cable shift H-N-L so the parts catalogue would be ideal so I know what to order.

						Hi Diana,
This is the 3 pages covering the cable hand brake from my Defender WSM.
Is this what you need?
I could scan it later this week if that's better the the photos.

Its in the RAVE,

Hi Dave
Thanks for the offer.Unfortunately I need to use the cable linkage because of the length of the Isuzu MSA5 x 2 / LT230 in fact I need to get a longer cable made to reach the back of the transmission. If you know the 110 chassis, the back of the drum is only 40mm from the front lip of the cross member behind the transmission.
My RAVE disks wont read on my PC. (neither the Win 11 nor the Win 10 ones) I guess I need updated RAVE disks.

The diagram in the Defender parts lists looks the same as the diagram in the Perentie RPS.

Thanks guys, but it seems all those have a shaft activated shoe expander exiting the backing plate half the way up (3 O'clock) on the RHS, the brake cable on the 28D LT230 I have has the cable directly entering on an angle from 7 O'clock on the LHS (below the speedo drive) with the end of the cable actuating the shoe mechanism on the other side at 5 O'clock.
I'm just about to make my 4th RAVE purchase tonight, this one hopefully will have the D2 mechanism (but Dave's information is not clear, only specifying Discovery pre-update what ever that means). I'm a Series and Perentie person
The RAVE manuals I have are on CDROM and haven't been able to read them since before WIN 8.

Actually, I should have mentioned TonyC's images are the correct system but no part numbers, so I need the matching parts catalogue page.
