I use those Crystals with some xenon blue high end globes and very happy, looks good too
I have upgraded the headlight bulbs and wiring, with some improvement, but want to improve the light pattern. The standard Wipac units are pretty crook.
What do people recommend for this. The units should be standard 7". Has anybody found something decent? The car is a 2004 Defender Xtreme.
Cheers,
Lionel

Thanks for the info. I have these bulbs already, but I will look into the light units.

I would suggest you do not buy those crystal inserts. if you really want a set you can have mine cheap. I thought I would try a set but they are not a patch on the light pattern produced by hella or Cibie inserts that I have used. I currently use Hella, I preferred the Cibie light pattern but the reflectors did not last well. The Hellas seem to be a better quality as they have lasted well with the same globes and being half full of water from river crossings many more times.

I'm running hella inserts, they went in the first week I had the Defender.
Were a carry over from another vehicle.
- Use to run 100/65W globes in the hellas (were in an old work hack, used to do night shift!), had a good even spread of light
Still running factory wattage globes in the Defender (just better globes) until I do the wiring loom, then I'll be going higher wattage again.
