There is no dash lite dimming switch and the clock should be illuminated with the ignition on.

Hi guys.
A very technical question.
Is there a switch to dim the dash lights?
I read the section in the manual and there is no mention of one.
Also I assume the clock is meant to be illuminated. The manual says it is illuminated when ignition is on and dimmed with the headlights. Guess I need to pull it out and replace the bulb on mine. I never test drove one with it illuminated.

Thanks for the confirmation. Guess I'll just keep my sunglasses on at night![]()
Don't complain. In my County you have to hold a torch to see the instruments at night.Originally Posted by Utemad

I had a Daihatsu Feroza that drove me mad at night. Went to the wreckers and picked up a dimmer switch, (one of those big rotating thumb wheel types). Cut into the inst panel lights feed wire and then you have a dimmer.Originally Posted by garrycol

The Oz Spec Disc. didn't have one, but it is shown in the Owner's Handbook though.
I used one from the wreckers (sorry, Auto Dismantlers) from a KA Fiesta
It didn't last more than 6 months though, & failed. Maybe the current draw is more for the Disco Lights
or it was on the way out when I fitted it.
It's just bridged out for now until I get around to checking further.
You can get a Genuine Parts one,but you would need to take a Mortgage out on the house.
