    radio wires

hi all lucky me got a new radio for my birthday to put in disco, but im not sure of the wire colours, think i pretty much traced the speakers wires using the rave cd, but coming a bit unstuck on the live, neutral and ignition wire, taken a guess but would like some confirmation from those in the know before i start chopping things around.
    thanks

Have you got the original radio in you car at the moment or an aftermarket one?
If it's aftermarket your job will be easy, Red is power b;ack is earth, follow the wiring diagram for the new stereo for the other colours they are nearly all the same.

Aerpro make a conversion harnesses European ISO to most major brands. Look for the Aerpro display at Supercheap.Plugs straight in. About $20.

have you got a test light....?
the wire with power while the ignition is off is for the memory......
the wire which has power only when the ignition is switched on is for the main power feed to the deck.....

Yeah.....I think I recall that Orange = automatic antenna signal feed wire .....or sometimes its Pink......

If in doubt.....read the instructions that came with it!!....This usually works, surprisingly!

    Exactly!

Took 5 minutes to install my Alpine in the defender and the Pioneer in the Disco2.

    Plug and play... All good
