I get mine from KLR Automotive in Penrith - they are only a short hop from me.

Hi All,
I was originally planning on taking my '98 Disco to Graham Cooper for its first service since I bought it but I know it's had a major service only 5,000km ago so I would like to save some money and do a minor service myself.
Just wondering where you Sydney guys buy your original filters? I was thinking of ordering through British4wd but would like to do the service this weekend and I doubt the parts will arrive in time. I'll use them next time, gotta support the site!
I plan on using Penrite HPR10 as from some of the past discussions on here it seems pretty well recommended. The disco has done 70,000km. Anyone think I should use a different oil or should I be ok with this one?
Cheers,

Sorry Ron, I'll update the profile.
I'm in Newtown so a bit closer to home would be nice.
It seems Graeme Cooper sounds like the place to buy.

ok, I didn't realise they sold parts, thought they were just a mechanic.
Perfect for me as they are literally just around the corner. Thanks Ron

I dunno why people keep recommending anyone else in Sydney - Karcraft at Silverwater are the imported of a wide range of british car parts and are the ones that most of the other companies get their parts from...... I wouldnt buy from anyone else as most of the others are retaillers - and you may get a small discount of the "list" price. Wholesale (trade) price is the only way to go fellas....
look them up
i think
www.karcraft.com.au might work - if it doesnt try othere ones line .net etc
I'm surprised any wholesaler sells to the public at wholesale rates.
When I used to sell hobby (model planes/cars/boats), one of my suppliers who was the importer (JR Australia) started selling, through their retail outlet, cheaper than I could buy from them.
I dropped their products because I couldn't compete.
In Rocky's case, is it worth getting a low cost item like an oil filter from Silverwater when Cooper is around the corner?

I just rang both Karcraft and G.Cooper. Karcraft was about $14 cheaper, but Cooper is literally around the corner so i'll get the parts from there I reckon.
The V8 uses about that much worth of fuel to get to Silverwater and back
I also plan on using Cooper for major servicing and any other repairs so it can't hurt to get to know the place first.
