Thread: where is the fuel filter located on 2003 disco V8

If it's in the same ridiculous place as the D1, it's bolted to the chassis rail at the top of the OS rear wheel arch. If not, don't know.

I haven't got my D2 (RAVE) workshop manual here at work - wait, I do, it's in my bag. I'll look it up later - but I suspect the D2 may have it in the tank like the later P38As

To my knowledge the filter is in the pump, and I can't see anything else on RAVE either.

Curious what did they sell you ?

I had a quick look on another site for the location of the fuel filter and it shown to be behind rear wheel along the fuel line.

Went to repco asked for a fuel filter for a v8 2003 Disco and they gave me the z479 ryco filter.

Back to the shed and ripped off the back tyre and had a good old look and nothing. Time ran out and had to put it off for another day.

Just re-checked, the D1 is by the rear wheel, but the D2, in the manual it states

"Surrounding the pump is a large, fine paper filter element...............the filter is non servicable and removes the requirement for an external in-line filter."

curious how its a paper filter inside a fuel tank,,,
The d1 had a plastic/nylon type baggie on the intake,,
