    Defender wiring a bit dodgy!!.

    Hi

Had no brake lights, no horn, the headlights were like candles, the clock stopped, and the radio lost the plot!!. But she was still perkulating .

Our local auto electrician,is now off to lock him self away some where, and never wan'ts to see me again!! Where they run the harness through the chassis rail, mine had worn through the so called protective cover and was shorting out on the chassis, had to be right in the middle The lights where dim caus the earthwire from cab to chassis had gone missing, put one from cab to engine block as well. Hey presto!! like a xmas tree again. The clock, the radio, and horn are on the one fuse( on mine anyhow) the terminals on the horn were eaten away with corrosion, so a new beep beep , fixed that! Not a lot wrong, but Jeez it can take some time to track things down. So now everything works on the landy" bloody mirical!!" Wonder for how long??.

    Cheers Sumo
