    Vibration

My 98 defender is developing a vibration when driven solwly in 5th gear, like sneaking along in a line of trafic on the flat. Possible gearbox bearings??

Not sure, but you should never drive slowly in fifth gear.

5th is designed as an overdrive gear.

    vibration

No I don't drive that slowly in 5th but it seems to occur if accelerating. 4th gear too. It goes through this period of vibration then settles down smoothly.

Can I ask why this is in "Bio Fuels" ?
Do you think it's a fuel related fault ?

Sorry if I have missed something here.........

You might have to do some experimenting to isolate a few things.

See if it's engine rev releated - can you get it to happen while the car is stationary ?
Does it happen at the same road speed ?
