as I said before Phil, you've seen the pics of Bill's/Daddylonglegs Series articulation, he kept breaking the eyes off his Koni's so experimented with angles. I'll try and find the post on lr4x4.

ok after r88ting around with the angles of the OE mounts and a few failures, i went to a 11'' pin to pin shock.

here are the custom top rear mounts.

    installed, compressed

    extended.

the pin top looks closer than you think in the pic. at least 15mm clearance.
    close up. extended.

i stuck to the orignal centerline of the OE mount for the custom ones. the next set will offset the pin forward about 25mm. this will give me more clearance, line the top and bottom mounts up and allow me to raise the top mount by 30-40mm.

ive cycled this setup and the previous on the forklift at work and there is a slight (30mm) improvement in the compression of the suspension.

now to do something about the front end

    cheers phil.

    hey mate,
they are pro comp ES9000's. had them on the disco couldnt kill them, proving the same on the 90!
they ride the same with the car full or empty, for the offroad side of things they work really well!

when i broke the other rears(same es9000) i put the OE LR std shocks back on! holy crap are they crap...way to stiff,, these are soooo much better.
i had OME N76's in the rear of the disco for a while, bloody great off road, little bit to soft on road, these are just right

    sizes are
    Ext comp
    9215xx 21.6 13.2 8.4 Std.

    9265xx 27.0 15.9 11.1 Std.
    9275xx 27.7 16.2 11.5 Slim
