when i was on moreton island last time a pajero was pushed off the ferry, we were up the beach a bit when the ladies walked past on there way to the phone and mentioned they could not start there 4bee, as it was raining and we weren't doing much else i said i would have a look

i wondered up with a screwdriver, hammer and multimeter, i got the guys to pop the bonnet and they were so surprised that is had a multimeter (iasked them waht tools they had, there reply was none), volts were good, i than slid under the car, i have never seen so much oil under a car, i got my mate to hold the ignition key on while i tapped away, she fired up on the third tap

they shouted us a couple of beers in amasement that it was so easy to fix, as we said our good-byes one of the ladies reach into the back and grabbed a bottle of rum for us, not a bad earn

The LC80 4.2 diesel is no better. I had to do one in the bush near Winton. The bugger would not budge, mainly because you couldn't get to it. SO we removed the whole assembly and turned it upside down on its mounts. Then we could get to it. After a few popped vertebrae and a hell of a lot of swearing we finally shifted the filter.

Worse still - the sedimenter had let through this stuff in the fuel that looked like seaweed - it was in everything! Don't run bad fuel in a Crusher - it'll really let you down badly.

Thank god I drive a Disco
