After a few failed attempts myself I got this done by Fred Smith and only now- after 6 years it is starting to weep. It looks from above your next seal will fail pretty quickly, so I would look into it further.

I've got an Army parts book, different looking seals and different part no's. Betcha they looked up Range rover or Discovery, All the same to them....

Unlikely to be the same seal, Landrover quote completely different parts numbers:

AEU2515 for the rear salisbury & FRC8220 for the rover front. Genuine seal for the salisbury is a crappy leather jobbie. There is an alternative proper seal that I *think* is AAU3381/2 which does a much better job. Call Karcraft in Sydney, they'll have them all in stock and get them out to you overnight.

now cause i mangled the seal getting it out the OD i cant get but the ID i just measured the flange and the seal is a little smaller which will do the job

now that pn i gave him AAu3381 brought up the seal he is getting me go figure
